March Budget

Once again I only did okay with watching my spending this month. I bought three pairs of jeans because I was feeling bored to death of the few pairs that have been on heavy rotation all winter, and partly because I had lots of credit card rewards from my Gap Card burning a hole in my pocket.

My favorite purchase of the month would have to be the black lace-up flats - so cute, comfortable, and with a DSW coupon, a steal at $30. The impulse purchases were the $10 sunglasses and a couple of basic tees on clearance at Gap ($7 each, how could I say no?) The splurge of the month is the little pink Coach bag, and even though I had funds in my PayPal account to cover it, I'm still counting towards the total.

With my birthday coming up in less than two weeks I can't promise that some birthday related "treat yo' self" purchases won't arise, but I need to remember to be more mindful of how I'm spending my money.

  5. I think I need to take a page from your book and start tracking my monthly purchases - not because I spend that much but because somehow my closet keeps filling up without my being able to understand how. And I completely agree, who can say no to $7 t-shirts?
