More casual Fridays

Goodness, I love a short week - Friday got here in a flash! I'm still easing into slightly less casual outfits at work, but I also decided I may as well take advantage of being able to wear a jersey dress and sneakers.

I'm trying very hard to justify the purchase of another pair of Converse sneakers, so hopefully you will be seeing a lot of them in the future, haha.

This weekend I'm headed up to Boston, hopefully this gorgeous weather we've been having decides to stick around!

This outfit was based off a look I pinned so long ago I can't even find it now, and I'm not sure what took me so long. I've had all these pieces for quite some time. I think it was more about finding the perfect spring day - cool enough for a sweater, but warm enough to not need anything else.

They kindly sent me this adorable little crossbody bag by IIIBeCa, which will be a lovely piece for summer, and it also comes in a fabulous lilac shade if you are feeling a little more adventurous.

Under the magnolia

All the flowering trees may be done now, but with my backlog of outfit photos I have at least another whole weeks worth of images capturing their beauty.

The petals of this magnolia carpeted the sidewalk below it and the bold floral print of my skirt felt right at home.

Funny story - the last time I took outfit photos in this spot I got stung my a bee. I was grateful history did not repeat itself.

A little festive

I didn't really plan on a red, white, and blue outfit to post today, but this just sort of worked out. Never mind that the top has wording in French.

I'm definitely enjoying all these Memorial Day sales - perhaps a bit too much! Coco's on the Green was having their half off sale and I could not resist a silk Joie blazer - never mind that it's a size extra small (and a tiny bit tight), it was $21 and I was smitten from the moment I put it on.

One item I really wanted was the Kate Spade Lily Avenue scalloped edge tote in white. It was a bit of a splurge, so I forced myself to sleep on it, and when I saw it was down to $208 with an extra 20% off at Amazon, I decided to go for it. Hopefully I will love it as much in person as I do online.

Favorite items currently in The Haven Collective

Definitely shoes - we have so many great spring and summer styles.  From colorblocked pumps to strappy sandals - we have the perfect finishing touch for just about any outfit!

Best the about owning the shop

 Getting to meet my customers face to face.  Everyone who comes into the shop gushes about how great it is and I love hearing that feedback!

Currently on my wishlist

Swedish Hasbeens clogs - any style.  I've had a few in the shop - but never in MY size.

Favorite to season to shop for

Definitely fall - I love fall colors and the necessity of  of layers means that you can mix and match prints, solids, and textures to create the perfect style.  Also - boots - fall is perfect for boots!
