Just neutrals

I keep finding myself reaching for the same neutral shades over again over again. Perhaps I just need a little heatwave to break me out of basics rut, but at least I added a fun new pair of sunglasses to my collection. Pink is both unusual and unprecedented, but they caught my eye and for $10 I wasn't leaving without them.

  1. I love the new shades! I think that neutrals allow you to pretty much get away with any outfit. I love the scarf--it adds just enough to this outfit I think.

  3. Those sunglasses are so fun! They're like my purple pair, hehe, except my purple ones have purple lenses so I don't wear them that much....

  6. I am a mood dresser at even with my love of color, their are pockets of time where I reach for neutrals. Your outfit evokes a beautiful werene vibe! Perhaps that's how you need to feel right now? Love the pink sunglasses and your lace up flats.

  9. I go in waves with only buying lots of neutrals, then (like now) wanting all the colors. I guess that means in the end you get a balanced closet :) Love this neutral look, and the pink shades are so fun!

  14. They are very fun sunnies! I have so many pairs of cheap and cheerful $10 sunglasses around the place. I almost always pick my Ray-bans as they are polarised for driving, I need to make more of an effort to wear my fun colourful ones :)

Love your leopard print clutch with the neutral outfit too :)

  19. Try not to think of wearing neutrals as being in a rut so much as just knowing what you like - that's what I've been telling myself for years :) Personally, I feel like neutrals are the key to easy elegance. Colours are beautiful but it can be hard to make them look sophisticated, particularly when you're in a rush in the morning. Grey, white and black are always there for you in those moments :)

  21. Neutrals are a-okay! I've been in a pink rut, only wanting to wear pinks and whites, so I understand what it's like. I'm sure you'll mix it up come spring. I love love those sunglasses, though!
