Caught in the wind

During a heatwave, a light, floaty dress is the best thing to wear. I know a lot of people complained about it, but I enjoyed it. Especially the evenings. Is there any better feeling than being out at 9 pm and having it be 85° out? I definitely prefer it to the rain and thunderstorms.

  1. That is such a beautiful dress! I love the fit and pattern. And I'm amazed at how well you tolerate the heat. I swear, living on the east coast damn near killed me...I was miserable all the time in the summer.

  8. That is a great design and I love the colors on you! Hmm, I would rather it be 75 F and windy, but I guess 85 with a strong fan and cold drinks would be fine too!

  9. I agree. A lightweight flowy dress is about the only way to go when it's sweltering outside. This is a pretty print.

  10. I feel like if I wasn't so afraid of the sun/burned so easy I would be like you. If I had your gorgeous skin and ability to tan I would be soaking up the sun every day!

That dress is gorgeous, I love how you can see the movement through your photos.

  11. Well I am use to it :)
How does Chloe cope with the heat ? I took Vanilla to the river a few days ago and she dived right in- when wet she looks like a lizard.
This is a beautiful dress - but my favorites are the flip flops and bag, I am assuming these are new.

  12. ABSOLUTELY! Whenever I get all whiny about the heat, I think that in just a few short months, I will be knee deep in slushy cold snow. Yuck! I love your pretty dress Lydia!

  13. Adorable dress! I'm glad you found a stylish way to beat the heat, but 85 at 9pm? I hate to say it, but I prefer the rain. Good thing I live in Seattle :)

  17. I feel the same. I wish and I hope the hot summer weather will come back after this rainy weather. Rain is needed, because everything is dry. You look so lovely in that evening light. Such a beautiful, dreamy and airy look.

  19. What if it's 9pm, 85 degrees and raining and thundering? Because that's totally what's happened here.

  24. These photos are stunning - the dress, the summer evening light, the boardwalk... everything is perfect! And I'm with you on the feeling of being out at 9pm in the warm weather. But in France I'm living entirely without the luxury of air conditioning - the only place that has it is the grocery store! - so I have to admit I'm pretty grateful when it briefly rains and cools my apartment off a bit!
