Striped pants

I am quite certain that these pants pre-date the blog. I'm also reasonably certain they have only appeared on the blog just once. And interestingly enough, I also saw a nearly identical pair when I was in Macy's the other day.

Admittedly, the fit is a little off and I should probably let them go, rather allowing them to occupy valuable closet space year after year, wearing them once each summer. Yet there always seems to be that one day when I want to wear some loose, light pants, and when I do, there they are.

  4. "once each summer"--hahaha, I definitely have a few of those pieces, but your pants are MUCH more practical than mine. I think I've got some of those leather leggings from high school still hangin' around in there somewhere... and even a skirt from middle school.

Anyway, I think they're cute and nice for something to throw on when the temperature is right... and they're totally nautical, too!

I adore you and your hats. You are the cutest of hat ladies.

  7. Oh yay! I just thrifted a pair of striped trousers similar to these and have been a little stumped on what to pair them with. I love the stripes! I have a lot of pieces in my closet like that--I just can't give them up and once in a while pull them out to validate their existence in there!

  17. I know how you feel - the pattern and colour is lovely but the fit lets them down.
I have lots of items like that in my wardrobe.
You have a fabulous figure and I don't think they show it off enough.

  19. I've always wanted pants I could wear in the summer. I really only have denim, which I think is definitely too heavy for summer... don't know how people do it!

Love how easy breezy this whole outfit looks... totally perfect for a summer sunset at the yacht club.

  23. I think we all have a few pieces in our wardrobes that we love, even though we don't wear them often, and can't seem to let go. I have a gray cashmere cardigan that comes to mind. And honestly, unless you have to do a serious closet downsize because you're moving, I think it's worth keeping things you know you'll wear... even if it's infrequently. Plus, these are pretty much the perfect summer pant :)
