Knits and Denim

While I am in no way ready for summer to be over, this week has cooled down significantly. Rather than fear for the worst (I'm sure there will still be quite a few hot days before fall officially arrives) I'm embracing the cooler temps with a new knit dress, in the perfect summer into fall shade.

Curve hugging is not my usual silhouette, but I've been embracing it with these knit dresses, as they are so comfortable and easy to wear, and make me feel put together with the least amount of effort.

Today I have a special guest in my photos, Ollie, a mini Australian Shepard I was sitting over the weekend. He is a wonderful dog, definitely a handful though! Being with such a high energy dog for 48 hours made me realize just how easy and laid-back Chloe was.

I'm also collaborating with several other bloggers to show seven ways of styling a denim jacket. You can see everyone's looks on Instagram!

  9. That knit dress is so cute on you, especially with the denim jacket! I really like that adorable little puppy too! :)

We are dogsitting at the moment and it's made me realise how mellow and easy our little Shih Tzu was! Sure he was a bit of a handful when we first adopted him, but he settled in quickly! our new dog is taking a little longer to get used to things

Hope that your week is going well so far :)

  15. Like you, I wouldn't normally go for this type of bodyhugging silhouette. But somehow, in a knit dress, it just works! I love the colour of this one, and the cut, too. While I haven't even really felt like I've had enough chances to wear our white Mango knit dress, seeing you in this one makes me feel like my summer knit dress collection may not be complete just yet ;)

  22. It works in a knit dress form only ... else I always feel too body conscious. You look great and of what a joy to be in a sunflower field.
