Frost

We are past the middle of February and I'm reaching the point where I'm ready for winter to just be over. An icy highway the other morning made my 26 minute commute into a 96 minute commute, and I simply have zero patience when it comes to warming up my car. My desire to take outfit photos has been limited, and compounded by a lack of sun and over abundance of cold.

Hence the limited posts this week, because even on the days when I brought my camera and my best intentions to snap a few frames after work with me, going straight to my parent's house to have coffee with my mom and catch up on our shows consistently won out.

Perhaps next will be a little bit brighter, a little less cold, and I'll be a bit more diligent with outfit photos, but right now I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend.

  1. Tis the season for being sick of winter. It's absolutely pouring here as I type this and I am so over it. All I want to be able to do is wear suede boots or flats and not end up with soaked/ruined shoes. Is that so much to ask? I don't think so. But the truth is, the end of winter means the end of fabulous coats and I really do love seeing this one pop up - the colour is so fabulous!

  2. It's so hard to be motivated to do anything on those grey winter days. A coat like that helps to beat the winter blues though! I need a colored coat. The neutral ones this time of year can be so blah.

  3. Such a cozy outfit! I always love the brightness of that coat!
Luckily for me I only take 5 minutes to do my outfit posts, if that. My dad and I run out before dinner and take 5 pictures, haha! But that makes my posts a little boring since it's always the same poses. But it saves me from the cold

  6. I hope you get a break from the cold soon too! At least that coat is in a bright, cheerful color. Every time I see it I think about how I need a coat in that color--it's just the opposite of winter's gray dreariness.

  8. I'm in the same boat, but not looking nearly as chic as you! My mood has done a nosedive lately and all I want to do is hibernate and wish for spring -- and for all of the snow to melt and the icky wet ground to dry up. (It's actually going to be 51 tomorrow, which is incredible, but it's going to be so wet and muddy. I'll take it, though!)

  9. Holy amazing coat, Batman!! I really, really love this color, and especially love how you allowed it to be the focal point with the B/W outfit underneath.

  10. LOVE that coat on you - looks so cosy and is a great colour against the black :)

Hope that the weather warms up for you soon! I find taking photos in summer trickier than winter, only because it's too hot to want to stand outside in the sun for any length of time, haha! I'd be happy to send some of our heat your way. I love summer, but it's just been so humid for weeks now and I'm getting a little over it.

  13. Yeah, I can only imagine how chilly you get! I'm convinced I'm cold-blooded so I'd probably have frostbite if I lived up there. :D It's 60 degrees outside and I'm snuggled up inside wearing a robe... yep, it's a sad life.

I adore the icy color of that coat though. And the pom is amazing!
