Déjà vu

Another snow filled post to start off the week! While this storm wasn't a blizzard, it did end up being a lot more than predicted, and resulted in my staying home from work on Friday. What's not to love about an unexpected long weekend? Especially because Sean wasn't working so we had a whole three days together and that was just wonderful.

The funny thing about this snow storm was how much it seemed like a spring snow - by mid afternoon the clouds rolled away to a crystal clear blue sky and the sun made the trees glitter, and quickly melt.

Sean joked at how 'natural' it was for me to be standing in the snow holding a bunch of tulips, but as soon as I saw them at the grocery store, I had to have them, and what kind of blogger would I be if I wasn't toting them around like an accessory?

  7. It's funny that Sean was joking about you holding tulips in photos after a blizzard, because when I was growing up in Winnipeg, my mom's tulips always bloomed right through the snow in early March. I always associate tulips with the very first days of warm weather, which in Winnipeg obviously weren't that warm and still involved a lot of snow! So this look, complete with flowers, makes perfect sense to me :) And I have to admit, a snow day sounds quite lovely, although I hated them when I was growing up... as an adult, they seem very appealing indeed, especially if it gives you time to get pretty outfit photos in the snow ;)

  23. The bad thing about 3 day weekends is that you get use to them really quickly!
This is such a great coat and of course I cannot ignore the tulips.
