Nice weather for ducks

Should the groundhog's prediction of an early spring actually come to pass, that will really only mean one thing; more rainy days. In a perfect world, I would never have to leave the house on a day when it's raining.

In a slightly less than perfect world I would go out on a rainy day wearing the cutest possible outfit imaginable. This includes an impeccable Uniqlo trench (with a removable liner), whimsical rain boots from Joules, a scalloped tote that looks exactly like the Kate Spade tote, only it's made of faux leather and is one fifth of the price, and of course, an adorable duck head umbrella.

In the real world, well let's just say there is a reason I don't post rainy day outfit photos.

Duck Head Umbrella, $23 at Target
Wide Brim Fedora, $24 at Topshop
Umbrella iPhone Case, $45 at Kate Spade
Deux Lux Leyla Tote, $65 at Shopbop
Spitfire Coco Sunglasses, $39 at Forever 21
Rose Stripe Wellies, $75 at Joules
Silk-cashmere Wrap, $75 at J.Crew
Navy IDLF Trench, $130 at Uniqlo

It is nice being able to sit at home and watch and listen to the rain..not so fun being outside in it, no matter how cute your outfit!

Hundreds of viable organs are discarded every year in the U.S alone just because they are from HIV-positive patients. Instead of discarding these organs, they can be made available to other HIV-positive individuals for transplant. This is not yet possible in the U.S. owing to a ban disallowing such transplants. The use of these HIV-infected organs for transplant to other HIV-positive patients has the potential of reducing the amount of time these people spend waiting for a matched donor. Though there may be some risks involved such as transfer of a more virulent strain of the virus to the recipient and transplant of a not-too-healthy organ to the recipient, the potential benefits still outweigh the risks.

  9. Yes! I would love to wear this adorable, rainy day look. I have no cute rain gear, but as much as it rains I need to get a pair of cute boots at the very least.

  10. Oh my goodness, I couldn't agree more - in a perfect world, I would never have to leave home when it was raining. Unfortunately, I live in Vancouver so that just isn't reality. Thank goodness for cute umbrellas and hats - hats are the only thing that really saves my hair, just an umbrella is not enough. And I may have clicked the link for the Topshop hat, because it is fabulous :)
