The simplest solution

I hate to admit the amount of time I spend staring into my closet (or Pinterest) trying to decide what to put on in the morning. I consistently waste the precious time that I could be using to enjoy my latté (yes, Sean gets up and makes me one almost every morning) feeling indecisive about clothes.

Typically I end up circling back to what is easy and functional; jeans, a shirt, a blazer and a pair of heels to dress it up. Simple, yet, I can never seem to get there until I've exhausted every other option.

  2. Loving the color combo! And yep...I do the same thing. I try to come up with something "different" and always end up with the same thing, haha

  3. The stress of getting dressed in the morning is the thing I miss least about working in an office. I still have all of the other annoying part of an office job, but at least I no longer have to spend twenty minutes rooting through my closet to find something I want to wear (that would also be warm enough in a very poorly heated building!) before rushing out the door. But it's a double edged sword, because then I also see my beautiful clothes languishing in my closet, mostly worn only evenings and weekends... So I think what I'm trying to say is we're never going to be truly satisfied ;) But while I'm here in sweatpants, you're looking absolutely lovely!

  4. There's something about the old standards that just 'work' though - they're comfortable, always look stylish, and you just feel good in them. I do the same thing when I dress; I've actually embraced it a little. Plus my brain is just functioning well at 5:30 am when I dress and I usually can't process ideas bigger than "pants + top + blazer."

  14. This is a go-to look for me too, and I find myself always pinning various versions of it. (In fact, I'm going to pin this one!) And how sweet that your man makes you a latte in the morning! Jealous over here :)

  15. I am the same way with getting dressed, it takes me a long time to decide what to wear. I always get my clothes ready the night before (week days only) otherwise, I would be late everyday. Love this look on you!

  17. Nobody would imagine how something that looks "nice" could take forever to put together…. as it actually does. For me, it usually involves trying it on too!
