Floral in Phelps Triangle Park

Edit - The Haven Collective is now Vintanthromodern!

This week I'm collaborating with the New Haven based vintage shop The Haven Collective. I've borrowed some of my favorite pieces and photographed them throughout the city of New Haven. Be sure and check out Monday's and Tuesday's posts as well!

A bright satin floral print dress with a pleated bodice and a layer of crinoline may not be the most versatile of pieces, but it certainly was fun to wear. I dubbed it the "Garden Party Dress" and found my way to the cutest, tiniest park in New Haven, Phelps Triangle Park. Tucked in an intersection of three streets, this unique spot seemed like the perfect location to photograph such a dress.

  2. The print on that dress is incredible. It is definitely very fitting to call it the Garden Party Dress.

  3. Now that - that is a dress! I love the slight Stepford Wives vibe of the print and cut. You would have been perfectly at home at a 1950s garden party in this outfit, but I think there's something so timeless about dresses like the one that the era doesn't really matter - they always look beautiful. I'm loving this collaboration, I can't wait to see what other vintage treasures you have in store for us!
