Take her home

I have been thrifting a lot recently, and I realize I am probably getting a bit carried away; because while a practically new top for $6 is a great deal, as is a wool sweater for $3, and a vintage rhinestone necklace for $6, all those low numbers start to add up pretty quickly.

I need to work harder at cutting back, and more importantly, avoiding the temptation, because when a wool coat, made in Italy, is there in my size for TEN DOLLARS! I simply have to take her home.

I'm pretty sure I 'needed' a neutral winter coat anyway. Plus, it's got a hood.

  7. I want to come thrifting where you live! There are some good second hand stores in Vancouver but the best ones focus on designer clothes so, while you can find great things that are less expensive than they would if bought new, they're not exactly budget friendly. There are definitely no Italian-made wool coats priced at $10 hiding anywhere nearby - what a lucky find! And your little feathre necklace is too cute :)

  10. A hood? Definitely legitimate. I love your stripes! I find myself in the same predicaments when thrifting. It's hard not to get carried away when the prices are so low and you might never find another piece like the one in your hands!

  16. Last yeari had a serious case of "buy all the things" at Goodwill. Thrifting can be so great, but I ended up with a bunch of clothes I only wore once :( I love this coat and it definitely would have been really hard to pass up!

  17. You are the queen of thrifting my dear. Can I please join you on a trip some time?

I know numbers add up, but if you're getting items that make sense in your wardrobe, it's all good!

  20. I wish I had your thrifting skills! A $10 coat is amazing! I have a hard time saying no to sale items so I really have a problem because even though they are a lot cheaper than retail price I'm still spending $15 to $20 on tops and such which really adds up!

  28. Welcome to my world!! Sometimes it's soooo hard to not get carried away! I make sure that the quality of what I'm buying is great and that I don't already have something like it in my wardrobe (aka buying another black shirt when I have one or two already at home). Or if I must have it, I decided to get rid of another one I have at home :)
