Fit for a celebration

I think it's clear that I've fallen back in love with the maxi dress, and I've fallen hard. (Was I ever really out of love? Well, we had quite the affair back in 2012, were on again-off again for a bit and now we are back on.) Not that loving Cabi's garden party dress is difficult to do, with it's flattering silhouette, playful ruffles, and delicate print.

I could easily see wearing this dress to a wedding, but this weekend I'm going to be wearing it to my sister's college graduation! I'm keeping my fingers crossed the weather holds out, as the forecast seems to keep wavering between sun, clouds, and rain. Of course I want her to have a beautiful day for her graduation; I'm also not 100% sure that the venue it's being held at is, you know, indoors.

I hope you've loved the pieces I've shared from Cabi's Arrivederci collection as much as I have!

  3. Maxi dresses have never really been my thing, but after seeing you in that beautiful one earlier this week, they've been on my mind - and now, seeing you in this one, I know I absolutely need to add one to my collection. Preferably this weekend ;) Of course this weekend there is rain in our forecast here, so I won't be able to wear one if I find it, but it does give me the perfect excuse to do lots of online shopping ;) Congratulations to your sister on her graduation!

  5. Maxi dresses are my summer weakness - and this is a really lovely one. I'm not usually super into lighter colours and prints but there's something about this one...

  6. That dress is seriously stunning! I'm always afraid of maxi dresses because I'm so short but this one is so nice it makes me want to pick one up!

  7. So beautiful. And the ruffle detail is really cool, too. I picture you sipping tea in a Victorian garden wearing this dress. Then skipping through lavender fields with your one true love. A very romantic dress, indeed! Lovely.

  14. Your sister's graduation, how exciting! I hope the weather was nice! I LOVE this maxi dress, it is gorgeous on you. I like maxi dresses, but I have a hard time finding ones I like--they can sometimes be shapeless or not quite the right length, etc. This looks like the perfect one though!
