Caught a light wind

A weekend gone in a breeze, and we are already half way through May! I'm happy to report my shopping ban has been going well; my wish list might be growing exponentially, but I've been good about keeping my wallet closed.

Lately the weather can't seem to decide if it wants to be May or March, but I've been itching to start growing some herbs and tomatoes on my porch, so I headed to the garden center and picked out a few plants. The rows and rows of flowers were so tempting, and had me dreaming of the day I'll have my own yard to plant in. Not that I've got any sort of green thumb, but I can dream, right?

The last thing I needed to get my little 'garden' started was a nice big planter, and I thought that Home Goods would be the best place to find one. In the first true test of the shopping ban I had to get out of Home Goods with ONLY a planter. I got two. One for my tomatoes and basil, and one hanging one, so I can go back and get some of those flowers.

  1. You look stunning Lydia! Love this floral dress. Good luck with your garden. I can't keep a plant alive to save my life. :(

  7. I'm entering this comment for a second time...
You're looking lovely, I wonder what the second "A" stands for in that spectacular scalloped clutch.
Oh and I saw the herbs you bought via Instagram - I just grew my first pineapple! Had some for breakfast today.

  16. I'm glad to hear your shopping ban has been going well - but then again, I know how many fabulous things are already in your wardrobe, so it's no surprise to me that you keep finding amazing things to wear. This maxi dress is just stunning. I've been looking for a maxi of my own for this season, but it seems like something is always off - the length, the cut or the print. One of these days, I will find mine, but in the meantime, I'm living variously through you wearing this one!

  18. Yet another gorgeous floral. Such a beautiful maxi dress and the background behind you is beaitoful, fresh and Springy too. I plan on putting myself on a huge shopping ban all Summer. I will start off with the first two months first (June and July) and hopefully continue to be shop-free all August too. I have been spending a ton lately and I do not need any more new things. I am so happy you are doing so well with yours. And good luck with all the planting, too!

Do stop by on Thursday if you like and linkup with me, Lydia. Thank you. Enjoy the rest of your week!
