Local

This gorgeous printed coat was found at Coco's on the Green sometime over the summer during one of their fabulous sales and was only $10. I was surprised to find that it actually came from a local Connecticut store, Skirtin Around, and probably retailed at around $300.

The colors make it such a pretty fall piece, though it's relatively light, so I hope we get a break from these suddenly freezing temps long enough to wear it a few more times before the real winter weather sets in.

Have you had any really great thrift finds lately?

  10. When I find a piece as amazing as this coat, I sometimes joke I want to be buried in it :P

I'm wearing a cotton cashmere Eddie Bauer grey sweater today, in perfect condition, scored for $3.75 at Goodwill. I know this sweater would start at much higher prices in a retail setting, so I'm feeling smug - and warm!

Umm that's an amazing find, and even better that it's from a local brand. I haven't thrifted in the longest time but maybe I'll poke around a couple stores this weekend...

  29. I'm dying to go to Connecticut to check out this Coco's on the Green you always mention. You always find some amazing pieces. I recently went to a thrift store and found a like new Jessica McClintock formal gown for $14.99. It is beautiful and was exactly what I was looking for for my brother's wedding.
