A Distinction of Leopard Print

I went shopping with a friend a few weekends ago, and as we entered the store I made a bee line for a display featuring several pieces in leopard print. My friend commented that I was likely a leopard in my past life.

It's true, my love of leopard print has grown exponentially over the years, it's almost funny to think that before the blog I owned no leopard print. That first purchase - I think a pencil skirt from Forever 21 - became a catalyst for this now decade long love affair.

There was one type of leopard print that I'd never had in my closet, a print with the animal itself. Try searching google for this distinction and you might have some difficulty, so it was only by happenstance that I came across this blouse on Poshmark while in the midst of some other feverish search (which I've now forgotten). For a mere $8 I was willing to take a gamble on this possibly vintage blouse and fill a leopard print need I wasn't even aware that I'd had. Plus I'm always looking for slightly cropped silhouettes that will show off the cute button fly of these high rise jeans.

Are you a leopard print lover?

  9. Now that i think of it, I think my first leopard print item was a pair of flats... I think the moment you realise how marvelously classy yet basic it is... you cannot stop yourself.

  10. I wore leopard print in high school but it was NOT good LOL! I think the cheap fabric gave it away but thankfully leopard print has come a long way and it can absolutely look chic! This blouse is a perfect example, I love how you’ve styled it for Spring!

  12. What a cute blouse and a fun alternative to the traditional leopard print! I really like it and the tie front is a cute detail to show off more of your jeans :)

I have a few leopard print accessories but I definitely need more in my wardrobe - maybe a leopard print skirt!

Hope that you are having a great week :)

  15. I love leopard print and always have - at least, I have since The Nanny debuted when I was seven. I fell hard for Fran Fine's fabulous style and really never looked back. I wear a lot less leopard these days, but I will never let go of my favourite pair of YSL leopard pumps, found on super sale for less than $200. All that said, my love of leopard is not so deep that anyone would think I was a leopard in a past life. I likely would never have given this bouse a second look, but I love it on you :)
