It's a Wrap

You know those perfect fall days, where there is this crispness in the air, the sun is out, maybe there is the most gentle of breezes? This was that day. There was only one, and I pulled out this wrap dress which I've been staring at longingly in my closet since last Thanksgiving, waiting for a perfect fall day to come around.

To be fair, I spent most of my day under the florescent lights of the Post Mall, getting the grand tour of the Boscov's department store which just opened, and then quite sometime after just sitting in the furniture section of Macy's Backstage catching up with Nonee and Megan. Afterwords I took Nonee to my 'old haunt', the Milford duck pond for outfit photos.

Another item you might not see for a while, these Target sandals. It took me ordering three sizes to get them right, so rather than having them for the end of August, I got them for the start of October. Now I'm pretty sure my little toes would get frostbite if I wore open toed shoes outside!

Are you happy with this cold weather, or are you missing summer like I am?

  1. I truly do love this dress on you - the cut and colours are just so flattering. And the fact that you had a chance to wear it with sandals, even briefly, makes me all sorts of envious, because we have been firmly entrenched in winter for well over a month already. Ian keeps telling me it's not winter yet, but I finally pointed out yesterday that it is colder where we live right now that it ever gets in most of the year outside of the arctic - and he had to concede that I had a point :/ It's a shame, but I'm happy to live vicariously through all warm weather photos, even if they don't truly reflect the reality of your weather right now, either.

  3. I cannot get over that purse! Also, completely agree on the whole BYE GOOD CLOTHES! I am already having to layer up with an ugly coat that ruins my cute flal feeling!

  4. I really love your wrap dress (it's a big gap in my closet that I don't have a wrap dress but I've honestly never really been able to find one that I like...clearly I need to check eShakti's stock).

  5. Lovely outfit I love that bag even more on every post!
Its funny how I can wear sandals all year long, yet do maybe 10 times a year... i guess if you don't have it you miss it more, if you do, you don't cherish it enough.

  6. I have to admit, I'm not the biggest summer fan. I'm a fall gal all day everyday! This dress is perfect for fall too. The print is fab!

  7. Such a cute wrap dress! I like the sandals with it too even if you haven't got a lot of wear out of them before the warm weather arrived! I like the days where it's not too hot and not too cold and you don't have to layer, although I do love layering sometimes. Early spring and autumn are my favourite times for outfits! :)

Hope that you are having a nice start to your week so far :)

  11. That dress is beautiful! Too bad you can't get more wear from those sandals this year. At least you will have them at the start of summer next year!

  12. You look fabulous! A wrap dress is timeless and so flattering - always in style! I miss Summer even though it’s still pretty darn warm here. I just miss the long days and balmy nights. I think I’ve been blogging so long that now all the stereotypical Fall things leave me uninspired. Summer is just more fun lol

  14. Your dress is lovely! I love the print and style of the dress. I kinda of happy for the cooler weather because North Carolina experienced crazy weather! I think I would rather have cold weather than a hurricane.

  16. Those are fun sandals! At least you'll look forward to pulling them out when it warms up again for spring :) I'm enjoying the cool weather but I'm definitely not okay with it getting too cold quickly. Cool, I like...COLD, not so much.
