Spring into fall

"I know that everything I need will find me when the time is right."

Fall seems to be settling in, the sharp cold air bookending the days, and I was happy to still be able to wear this cherry blossom print blouse on it's own before things get too cold. Even though cherry blossoms are synonymous with the springtime, this top made it's way into a fall collection, and it was too lovely to hold it for six months. Of course I look forward to when I can wear it with my beloved flowering trees in the background, but I need to anticipate enjoying the seasons directly ahead and not wish them away to get to the spring again.

  1. I don't think I could have managed to wait six months to wear this top, either - it's too pretty! I definitely think spring when I think of cherry blossoms, and I would never consider them to be a dark floral, but against the navy fabric they really do seem to work that way and the effect is lovely. We're currently stuck in a weird season somewhere between summer and fall; my apartment building has turned the heaters on in the common areas but it's still near 80 degrees Fahrenheit outside, so at some points in the day it still feels like summer... although not necessarily in a good way!

  11. That is such a beautiful top and I can see it continuing to work for cooler weather with a cardigan on top, maybe even a long sleeve tee underneath...but our winters aren't as cold as yours, we don't have snow to contend with so it might make sense to reserve this for the warmer weather! Either way it's great you could give it another wear :)

Hope you are having a lovely start to the week.
