Summer fading

I'm likely the only blogger still clinging to what has now become the memory of summer, never one to sweat it out in unnecessary layers before need be. The day and subsequent evening I wore this dress was just as divinely warm as you might imagine by looking at these photos.

  1. Hehe, I'm already way past Summer. But that's because I'm an Autumn baby ;)

  2. Your neverending summer photos are just too lovely. (I have a few of my own tucked away from our time in New York, but they'll likely be debuting in late October when it isn't warm anywhere - c'est la vie, at least I'll remember what it was like to be warm when winter has settled in.) It is resolutely fall here. I'm packing my suitcase to travel home for Thanksgiving, which is proving far more challenging than expected because, unbelievably, the temperature in central Canada is warmer than it is in Vancouver. And yet, I can hardly complain about a forecast in the 80s in October. If only I had a cute scalloped dress to wear on that day!

  6. I think the navy + white is the perfect color combo. You should come visit California - it will be summer until December!

  7. Oh you're not alone. I cling to every bit of summer I can. It seems like just when I am accepting of fall, it's on the verge of being winter. And then I am weather pissy for the next five months.

  8. Beautiful photos! You can savor summer for a lot longer if you visit California, it's in the 90s this weekend :)

  10. Adore that navy! I agree, you have to dress comfortably despite the "season"...But for me, I'm always cold, so I've embraced fall layering.

  11. The scallops on this dress are perfect. While I welcome fall with open arms since I love the cooler weather, I'm not going to dress for 60 degrees when it's still 80 degrees. That's just plain uncomfortable!

  12. I wish I could still be wearing pieces like this adorable dress! The weather is definitely starting to turn in the past couple weeks so layers are becoming a bittersweet necessity!

  18. Is that your camera briefcase in the background? Heheheh. The weather in your photos looks incredible. We're finally getting lower temps here--and thank goodness our humidity is gone--but it's still warm enough to go sleeveless everywhere. I adore navy on you. Enjoy the last bit of summer!
