Studded scarf

This lovely vintage paisley scarf (made in Italy!) was adorned with some studs by Alex and sent off to me as a part of a pay it forward post from... last February, I think?

The idea was that someone would create a pay it forward post and the first five people to comment would get mailed something handmade, and in turn they would post and send out five things... so on and so on. Needless to say we took our time doing it, but they got out eventually, and that is what counts.

I of course, adore paisley, and the addition of the studs fits in perfectly with the slightly edgier look I've been going for lately with the leather moto jacket.

Thanks Alex!

P.S. If you want to see what I made for Alex...

  1. I love the idea of a pay it forward post! Bloggers are the best sometimes :)

I might have to try adding some studs to a vintage scarf (I have way too many!) - that's a great way to spice it up and make it a little edgier.

  13. I love the pattern mix here. I did something similar a few weeks ago. Same type of scarf with a striped sweater. I never would have had the confidence to do it if I hadn't seen it on you a few times. So thank you for the inspiration! :)

  28. Pattern mixing: paisley and stripes! Maybe it'll go viral!

Ughhh if I hadn't temporarily lost the scarves I would have totally made the deadline. I haven't worn the bracelet you made me yet because I need an extra two jump rings for length and don't have any-- you gave me way too much credit for small wrists!
