Would you wear a waist bag?

I'm reluctant to use the term "fanny pack" but, I have noticed a few lingering around store shelves lately and wanted to see how it might look.

I didn't wear it out today, but what do you think? Tragic and unfashionable, or maybe just cool enough to pull off?

I also wore my new ring today, that I won from Adelaide Stayed's giveaway. It's from the etsy shop Maru Maru, who has some really cute things, so definitely check it out!

Oh, and I though I would join Weardrobe, but apparently I'm not good enough for them - HAHA.

  3. oh I love that ring!!

I don't think the waist bag is my style at all... but you sort of pull it off. I love cross body bags right now though, & they are just as practical, so for me the fan...errr...waistbag is a no go. LOL.

  10. You have to apply for weardrobe?! How the heck did I get in then, LOL?? I know you have to be approved for lookbook and thats why I don't like it.
Have you tried Chictopia?I use that one and I like it better. Here's my referral code if you want to join: MISSVINYLAHOY555

The waist-bag is cool, it doesn't look like a fannypack. I'm sure wearing it to the side helps, and the bright color. It just looks like a purse around your waist. I like it!

  11. If I made it look as good as you do- absolutely! What a badass outfit!

  12. Well to be honest, I'm not a huge fan. I think that you styled it better than I've ever seen (I think it's a stylish bag to begin with, and your outfit supports it) but I still prefer a cross-body bag if you want a little bag you don't have to think about.

  13. Whoa! I like it!! I may have to test try that idea with a smaller bag soon....

And what's up with weardrobe these days? You have to apply now? They're just copying lookbook. Have you checked out chictopia.com? I"m pretty sure they're not making you apply..

  16. You could totally get away with it. :)) I like that bright bag against the duller floral colors <3

  18. haha fanny pack that's such a funny name for it, I think it looks cute on you plus the bag is different than the brown/black leather ones that we always see on tourists, I think when traveling it's the best option even if it's not fashionable it's smart. =D

  19. I think it works with this outfit, but it's very hard to pull off! I don't think I could ever wear one just because of the "fanny pack" stigma. I guess I don't have the guts!

  26. I love the last picture. The ring and the tulip are gorgeous!

I admit, I do prefer this outfit without the 'waist bag' but I do think in general, you can pull it off. It's definitely not tragic or unfashionable ...just a bit tricky.

  28. I have a neon pink fanny pack that I wear when I go biking. The key is to act like it is all the rage to wear a fanny pack. Any hesitation in your expression will give you away, and make you look silly.

  30. That fanny pack is probably the most fashionable one I've ever seen! Love your skirt!

I can't believe Weardrobe is now requiring applications! When I joined, it was for anyone!

  31. I don't think I could pull of a fanny pack, but it looks great on you!

  32. Yeah girl! You can totally do this look!
The bright color and cool design of the bag makes it cool- not the "Dad-at-Disneyworld" look I think of with your everyday "fanny packs" (love ya, Dad!)
    You definitely rock it-
    Keep up the good work!
