Stripes + Sequins

This top is new. It was on sale for $30 at Macy's and I had to buy it in order to get free shipping for something else.

I mean, honestly, spending $10 on shipping would just be crazy. And if you think about it, it's like it only cost me $20 because of the $10 I saved on shipping by purchasing it.

  2. Duh! You simply cannot spend that much money on shipping when it basically could pay for half of a top! It is so darling!

  3. Shipping is the worst--I always forget to consider it with my total and so I'm always disappointed when things cost way more than what I'd planned because of it! That shirt was a great buy though--the sequins make it a little more special!

  9. I usually buy things to get free shipping as well...it's a deal, right? And this is such a cute top - I love it paired with that mint/sea foam cardigan.

  10. I use hitting the free shipping mark as an excuse to buy things all the time. Glad I'm not the only one! That sweater was well worth it:)

  11. I like your logic, Lyddie. Rounding up to the free shipping mark is definitely something I try to do, too.

Your $20 top is lovely, though. And it's long sleeved, which is awesome, since long sleeve pretty tops can be so hard to find (or is it just me?).

  12. Honestly that's their gimmick to make you buy more. And they get me everytime. I shop a lot at Macy's and can you believe I spend over $99 everytime.

  28. Yikes, can't believe Macy's charges that much for shipping. Almost everyone is free or reduced these days :P

  43. I love reading about how other people rationalise their purchases - my thought process usually goes something along the lines of, "But it's probably the last one in my size and if I miss out then I'll regret it forever and it only costs..." You get the idea :) The top is awesome - I mean, sequins and stripes! Plus, it's like you saved an extra ten dollars. I was with you all the way ;)
