Paisley scarf necklace

Everyone knows that the problem with adorable vintage square silk scarfs is that you often end up looking like an airline stewardess when you tie them around your neck.

So that leaves you with a few options; you can tie it on your bag, stuff it artfully in a pocket, or try to make it look like a necklace. I like to try and make it look like a necklace.

Great idea! I bought one just because I loved the print but I can never find the right way to wear it...I'll try this look, then.

How about with smaller square scarves?

I totally have that problem with silk square scarves! I love what you've done with yours, and the scarf and skirt look so cute together!

When I wear scarves this way, I call it "cowboy style." "Necklace style" sounds way more chic.

You look beautiful!! I love the scarf as a necklace. And the patterned tights really add pizazz to the entire look. Gorgeously stylish!

On a side note, I was wondering if I could ask you something about your camera and how you take pictures. Should I ask you on a comment like this one? Or should I send you an email? If you prefer email, my email address is thejoyoffashion (at) hotmail (dot) com (In case you wanted your email private and that's why its not available on your blog). If not, no worries. Thanks for everything!

you showed that scarf who's boss. It looks great as a necklace. I can never get scarfs right. I end up looking like an old Polish lady.

Loren said...

Aww, it looks great. The scarf is lovely, and you do not look like a stewardess at all. I've got a couple of those types of scarves, I've had very little luck in the 'make it look like a necklace' department.

Kavery said...

No worries there - you look much chicer than a stewardess. And the nail polish colour is lovely

Daniela said...

you look like a trouble maker in those tights ;)

You did a fantastic job styling that scarf..and love the color of your skirt!

This is gorgeous! You have the best accessory collection. And the skirt is really, really flattering. Luv it.

Shea said...

I agree, silk scarves are tricky to style--I don't wear them very often for that reason! I love how you tied yours though, I ought to do that style more often--it's very chic but definitely not stewardess-y :)

Alex Elizabeth said...

Ohh it's the scarf :) This is a brilliant idea. Why didn't I ever think of it? You are seriously killing it with the accessories lately. I'm convinced I need antlers and large link chains, as well as more Essie nail polish.
