If I were stepping back in time

I got this cute vintage dress over the winter, at a time when it seemed like a day warm enough to wear it would never come.
Even though the weathermen keep predicting rain and gloom, the sun has triumphantly risen and created some pretty amazing days (knock on wood).
I thought a few snaps with the Hipstamatic would be the best way to showcase this cute vintage dress!

And yes, the nautical theme continues!

For some reason I felt like doing a before and after shot of my hair this morning. So now you know, my hair is a lie.

My hair is a lie, too! Thank God for Chi flat irons. That vintage dress is perfect on you-- I love it!

Fantastic photos! I like your hair in it's before state, but I chopped my naturally semi-curly hair to keep from having to deal with it. :) Oh, and great dress.

My hair's a bit of a lie too, but I'm not showing anyone that. Do you ever wear yours curlier? It looks good!

Such a cute dress, and I'm so jealous that you can wear bare legs and no coat now!

ooooh you have deceived me! haha! so funny because i had a conversation with a few of my close girlfriends last weekend- turns out more than half of them have super curly hair. i never knew b/c they're nothing but pin straight perfection every time i see them.
love the continuing nautical theme. gotta embrace it with summer around the corner. and glad you liked the bag- biggest splurge ever. had to decide between that and starting to re-do my kitchen. kitchen can wait. you only live once :)

Even though I'll be 60 on Friday (yes, the day of THE wedding) I love reading your blog, you are down to earth, funny and make me laugh. I think your style is fabulous and you inspire me even at my age- always young at heart!

I love your waves!! I wish my hair got curly enough like that. Half of it gets wavy other half is straight. The underside gets curly like a dog, I can't win! If that's your hair before, you need to wear it like that more often! It's beautiful :)

Words cannot describe how much I love that dress (and stripes).

And your hair looks good both ways! I kind of like the wavy look. Perhaps you will style it as such one day...? Hmmm?

Your hair looks cute curly and straight. I have to flat iron my hair, but that is mostly to get rid of crazy cowlicks.

Your dress' day in the sun has finally come, literally!! I always have a tough time buying clothes in advance because then I absolutely cannot wait to wear them!! So, I'm due to start some spring shopping pretty soon now that the weather is starting to warm up!

That's okay, my hair is a lie too. It's very large, and not as unruly as many of my friends'... but it is still very large. That's why it's pinned back on one side when it's curly.
I'm becoming crazily obsessed with my Hipstamatic. Just got the Camden Hipstapak and I've been taking everything in infrafred now. I even want to order actual prints hahahaha. Hipstamatic takes some really nice photos, I want someone to take photos of me... does iPhone come with a remote? haha
I love the feeling of wearing a dress for the first time :)
