In Los Angeles the Winter Never Comes

Just as the weather in Connecticut was starting to settle into winter, I decided to escape to the west coast for a bit to spend some time with my sister and enjoy a break from the harsh cold and snow.

Even though it's the rainy season here, and there has been a fair amount over the last week, when the sun is out, it's glorious.

I'm really excited I get to spend some time here (I haven't decided how long I'm staying yet), even though I'm missing my Connecticut community, I hope I get to meet some Los Angeles bloggers and visit some other parts of the west coast.

  1. I think, if I were you, and if it were truly feasible, I would stay in California forever. Maybe I'm biased, but I truly think the times I've experienced and grown the most are the ones when I've been away from home, out of my comfort zone and defining my life for myself. Plus, the warm weather sounds so lovely right about now, even with the rain. I'm so envious of your ability to wear flats with bare ankles and have nothing but a t-shirt on under a light coat. The temperatures are supposed to plunge to arctic levels here this week, so bare ankles are my idea of heaven right about now.

  2. Love that jacket!
And lucky you that you have a place you can go to escape the cold! Sadly all my relatives live in cold weather too, haha.

  10. Haha I agree, but I keep seeing bloggers from the east coast complaining that they want winter to be over. I love winter coats and it sucks I don't get to wear them as much as I would like. I love your flats btw! Happy Monday! ♥

  12. I like winter until the holidays are over, then it just seems to drag on. A warm weather vacation sounds like the perfect remedy!

  13. I'm glad you are enjoying your time on the West Coast! That's pretty cool if you are able to meet up with some other bloggers while you are in town! I can barely ever get together with bloggers that live in the same city full time! Ha!

  19. I bet that was a huge change for you to adjust to - temperature-wise! Connecticut to LA in the winter is a massive leap. I've never been to the west coast, so I'm super jealous, I'll admit ;) Enjoy your stay!

  22. Oh i bet you do not miss that snow L!
How great that you are in LA, it's actually part of your 2019 plan: travel. Well done and enjoy!!

  23. I won't say what I'm thinking about snow... because I don't want to jinx it. BUT the cold weather makes it better to do touristy things because no one else wants to go out LOL.

  24. I wish it snowed here in TX I love the snow! But sometimes it is nice to get away from it when it constantly is snowing!

  25. I don't blame you one bit for escaping to somewhere warm!! Light jacket weather = the best weather. I love this classic look and am counting down the days until I can wear flats + bare ankles again :)

  26. Can't really blame you for escaping the cold dear. LA is so gorgeous in winter indeed. Anyway, cute casual look you have here.

  27. I am so jealous of your escape! It has been snowing here and cold, so I imagine an escape to the West Coast was everything! I sometimes consider living somewhere like that permanently!
