Peaks of the Week

How is it Labor Day Weekend? Memorial Day feels like a heartbeat ago, and of course it still 100% feels like summer, with 90° temps and so much humidity it feels like you are waking into a sauna when you step outside. But the Pumpkin Spice Lattes are being thrust upon us all the same. Thank goodness you can order them iced, if that's your thing.

This weekend I'll be spending time with family, relaxing and enjoying the summer.

Insta Repeat. Because everyone is taking the same damn photos.

❖ I found fresh figs in Trader Joe's and bought them because I was so intrigued by them. Now I just need to try out some of these recipes.

❖ Treat everyone like you'd want them to treat you on your worst days, because there is a good chance it's theirs.

The $10 white tees vs the $320 white tees.

I'm going to side with the feminists on this one.

❖ The author of Smitten Kitchen argues against cooking at home.

❖ In love with these mules! (But this pair is similar and half the price.)

❖ Kallie shares her tips to stop our overspending habits in their tracks.

❖ Jessica's polka dot skirt is making me feel like I need to wear mine again immediately!

❖ A blogger shares what happened when she was reported to the Advertising Standards Authority.

❖Anyone else planning on immediately binging Jack Ryan, because Jim?

  1. I so want to side with the feminists, too. But the French are, sadly, bring pragmatic. Parisian men, if they have nowhere else to urinate, will gladly do so on the sidewalk, in public, in broad daylight. Young or old, it's doesn't matter - culturally, they believe this is their right. Public toilets have been installed in so many different ways to try to combat this but, the reality is, it just keeps happening. As someone who has found urine on their doorstep daily, quite frankly, I have to say I am for anything that helps to get rid of that :/

  2. That post about overspending is great. I was so much better last month about if I can only keep it up!!

  3. Ooh some of those articles sound quite interesting! Off to read them now! Been meaning to read Kallie's post and keep forgetting! Ha ha

  4. What an interesting post about the advertising standards authority - I imagine it's tough to monitor such an evolving space. I just heard about InstaRepeat and am probably guilty of it!

  5. Haha, I might just plead guilty to InstaRepeat.

  6. Definitely going to read that overspending article, I could use a little help in that area always, haha! :)

I hope that you are having a lovely weekend and the heat lets up a little for you :) We went to a strawberry farm yesterday with the boys which was so fun :)

  7. The white tee comparison is very interesting!

  8. That's a really cute polka dot skirt from Jessica. Such a chic look!
