Friday Five Under $50

Another month or so and there might just be enough daylight after work for outfit photos.
Until then, I let the weekend weather and my emotions dictate whether or not I take outfit photos. Last weekend had a fair amount of sunshine, but I could not find it within myself to get dressed on Sunday. It was a binge watch "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" kind of day. I'm not proud, but that is what I did. Hence, I'm just popping in here on Friday to share some under $50 pieces, and to wish you all a happy and productive (or unproductive, if that is what you'd prefer) weekend.

This weekend, I do in fact have plans that will force me to get dressed; on Saturday I'm meeting up with a couple local bloggers for coffee and outfit photos, so an outfit post will definitely happen next week!

Christian Di Riccio Woven Mules, $40 at TJMaxx
Madewell Stacking Rings, $28 at Shopbop
Vero Moda Floral Culottes, $25 at Nordstrom Rack
Tie Waist Shirt, $42 at J.Crew Factory
Frayed Ribbon Fedora, $55 at Banana Republic (extra 60% off sale and 40% off new items!)

  1. Some weekends, you just need to spend Sunday in your pajamas. Most weekends, if you're me. To be honest, I've been shooting less and less every month of this winter. I just can't seem to get motivated in the cold. And while I do have a back log of photos from Europe, that's going to run out pretty shortly and I'm going to have to think seriously about getting dressed on weekends again. It will be easier when the weather is warmer again, and it's reasonable to wear things like mules and skirts again. I do love the woven pair you've featured - and had to smile seeing the Madewell rings included in this selection, because I own the set and am pretty much never not wearing some of them :)

  2. I'm excited for some extra daylight to start happening so I can start taking more photos too. And this year that time of year will coincide with me going back to work full time so I'll actually be getting dressed in actual clothes (not sweat pants) on a regular basis. I'm finding it hard to hide my excitement at the prospect of this....

  4. I keep hearing about that show, I need to watch it! Enjoy your get-together this weekend. These are fun picks--I love those stacking rings!

  5. It's always good when you can just relax and veg out!!! I need more days like that!!
Those culottes are such a great deal....

  6. Oh those floral culottes are glorious !
And I am looking forward to seeing the outfit pictures ...

  7. I binge watched The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel a few weeks ago and I really liked it! There is no shame in binge watching a show every now and then! Hope you have a great weekend!

  8. I haven't seen that show, but I do agree with some days feeling like a stay inside and relax kinda days. Even though it's completely opposite weather here, it is a bit too hot to go outside, so some sofa time under the air con is a good idea, haha!

Hope that you are having a great weekend and enjoying your blogger event! We started our weekend early with the Australia Day public holiday which was nice :)

  9. Taking pictures in the winter is so hard! I can't even imagine going out when it is as cold out as it is up north. I love the white shirt and hat in the collage. So chic! I hope you have a great weekend!
