Friday five under $50

Lately I've been finding myself drawn more to blacks and browns, just blame the inevitable pull of fall, as much as I deny it.

Can we talk about how cute the snail bag is? I mean, it's not quite as cute as the wicker snail bag Kate Spade had put out, but it's also $25 and not $300. However if you are really smitten with that design, I found a dupe on Etsy for $46.

The "Sidewalk Skirt" has been a J.Crew/J.Crew Factory mainstay for many years. I've always liked it, so much that I once did my own DIY version, which was surprisingly easy. Lately I've been missing my sewing machine, and contemplating getting back into sewing things, possibly even posting tutorials... what do you think?

  1. Oh my goodness! THAT SNAIL!!!! Ha ha. You're right, not as cute as the wicker one but he's still adorable! And I love that coat too

  2. These colors are perfect for Fall! Loving the coat.

  3. I love the black and browns. And that snail bag is fun!

  6. Okay that snail is too stinking cute. And yes, please, sewing tutorials!!!...I got a machine a few years back and did some beginner stuff (I have a crooked apron and a bunch of pillows to show for it), but need to get back into it!

  7. Oh that snail bag is a great find - and my fave is the horse cuff very Hèrmes.

  8. Oh that snail bag is so cute! :D I love little novelty bags like that but don't have any in my collection surprisingly. I always worry I'd never wear them, as adorable as this is! :)

  9. Oh my goodness, I'm totally smitten with the awesome snail bag - what a gem! Kisses

  10. So much temptation! I've been loving the combination of black and brown this fall - it's one I always love, to be honest, but this season I seem to feel the pull of it even more strongly and that sidewalk skirt would fit very nicely into my wardrobe, I think!
