Cashmere hoodie

When I thrift, I look for quality materials above all else. While I go for basics like this Banana Republic tee, and fun costume jewelry like this pendant, I consider this 100% cashmere hoodie to be the real gem. Despite the fact that it's an extra large, for $15 I could not let it go. An oversized, ridiculously soft and cozy hoodie should not be passed up.

  1. Yeeep, I would have bought that in an instant! Sooo comfy! :DI have a cashmere hoodie too, but it's not a zip up so it isn't as versatile

  3. Absolutely! I think that the sizing when thrifting is all relative to various other elements of the garment. I think this looks great on you--not too big at all! And if it is soft and comfy, that is even better!

  4. What a chic casual look! This necklace is so so so beautiful too!

  5. I think I've been blind! I've only been looking in my sizes when thrifting, but I see the possibilities are endless in other sizes! I love how you've styled this so classically!

  6. Oh yeaaah! Gold and black and leopard is so your thing, Lydia. When you're not doing your nautical game, that is. That necklace is so good. If someone tried to shoot you with a poison arrow, I feel like it would deflect off that necklace. And you would be saved, hooray!!

That hoodie does look cozy. And it's casual cute, too!

  7. I totally agree, fabrics like cashmere should not be passed up at great prices! I actually did the same thing, I found a cashemere sweater that was too big and had to have it. Love the look. Have a great weekend.

  15. I have been anxiously waiting to see your thrifted cashemere hoodie and it does not disappoint. What a beauty! Although I'm starting to learn that not everyone sees the appeal of having a wardrobe full of pieces that could potentially last forever, it's an idea I still love and I can see you wear this hoodie over and over (and over) in different ways for years to come, which makes the $15 price tag just that much sweeter.

  18. Oh i like it - and i do not think it looks oversized at all.
Lately I rather buy things and then repent - rather than skip it and then think of the item for days.
However yesterday I passed on a pair of Marc Jacobs printed shorts - im now regreting it.

  35. I completely agree. No sense in leaving something in amazing condition that was probably well over $100 in the first place. It works so well with the basic colors too. Those shoes are IT though. I love them. You make me itch to get thrifting again!
