JoJos

For Christmas, my friend gifted me these earrings, which are by JoJo Loves You, a Boston based jewelry designer.

The earrings are handmade in Boston from vintage Swarovski crystals and set in sterling silver. They come in every color you can think of, and are only $30.

I truly love being able to support local (well, in New England) designers who make their jewelry here in the United States, rather than outsourcing overseas.

I am so happy with these earrings, and I'm already thinking I should add this emerald pair to my collection, I do need to be trendy for 2013.

I'm thankful my friend introduced me to this designer, and now I hope you will be too!

I'm all for handmade jewellery, as you might remember. :) I also love recycled or upcycled items much more than new stuff! Yay for every blogger supporting local artists. :)

yes! lets keep it local! its what makes all of these bloggers from different places so interesting. with globalized markets i guess we could all wear the same thing, but where is the fun in that?!

Oh Lyddie, I love those earrings on you! They're just the perfect color and I love the simplicity of them. You definitely made them stand out by putting your hair up, too.

Those are really pretty - I love how bold they look in these photos even though they're quite small.

Those earrings are a really pretty color, and they look fab with that shirt. I love buying locally made things. New England is certainly not lacking for talented craftspeople.

Those earrings are gorgeous and I really love that they're made in Boston. One of my goals this year is to frequent small/local businesses (I've been failing miserably). I think it's great that you're promoting that! :)

Shopping from local and/or independent designers has become a lot more important to me in the last six months - but there are so many out there, it's impossible for me to discover them all on my own. Thanks for sharing this one, the earrings your friend gifted you are absolutely gorgeous. The colour seems to leap right out the photos! Speaking of the photos, I love the location where you shot them - there's something really quaint and romantic about it :)
