Eclectic Glamour

My, my, where did this adorable red wool felt hat from my wishlist come from? Did it just materialize in my closet overnight?

Red Hat

Or did I happen to find myself in Kohls (for non clothes shopping reasons) and happened to notice the hat was currently half off?

Plus I happened to have a $16 store credit and a 15% off coupon.
So the hat came home. And so did this ring, which was 60% and therefore, after the store credit, I only spent $3.72 on both.

I also took note of this military inspired shirt that is oh-so-similar to the Express shirt I was pining for the other day. This one is polyester rather than silk and is currently $20. Fortunately (or unfortunately) they didn't have the white in any size but large, so there was no temptation to buy it.

Do you ever wish some mornings you could just leave the house in your blanket? Well, this is pretty much the same.

Red Hat

I love this wool shawl, it was a gift from my Mother several years ago. The label says Corrierildo and it was made in Italy. I must admit I was quite lost on how to wear it for a while, how to drape it and not look like I was being swallowed up. This is the first time I have ever belted it -- I don't know why I never thought of it before!

Red Hat

It's really a wonderful coat substitute for these early autumn days and when belted like this, is quite cape like in appearance. So it's pretty much perfect for that trend this fall.

My look was really inspired by the Eclectic Glamour editorial in the October Lucky Magazine. It is possibly one of my favorite spreads to date.

My outfit doesn't directly copy any of the looks off the page, but I believe it's similar in feeling, like it could fit in with the rest of the images cohesively.

I tried that shirt on at Kohl's in the army green. It had so much potential, but it was pretty boxy.
