Velvet Bomber

I've been notably quite in this space, mostly for a lack of anything to say, and I'm still trying to get through posting photos taken back in November.

Life has gotten smaller this last year, in every possible way, and rather than trying to fight it by staying virtually connected to friends, family, workout buddies, and fellow bloggers, I've let myself become even more distant and disconnected.

Even if the world does regain some normalcy this year, I fear the bad habits I've created over these last 11 months will not easily be undone.

  1. That velvet jacket is so fun, and with the floral top tucked into your jeans it's a cute retro vibe :)

Don't beat yourself up about how you're handling the pandemic - we've never had one before so there is no right or wrong way to deal with it!

Hope your week is going well :)

  2. I love that jacket - it looks so soft. I've definitely racked up multiple bad habits over the past year but I've giving myself a total pass and appreciating that I've also developed a few good ones (I'm drinking significantly more water throughout the day working from home and enjoying power naps in the middle of the day, and the extra sleep and water are, I assume, real positives).

  3. I looove that jacket!!
And hey, at least you're getting out more than I am. Going to be so weird for me when I can finally go back into stores and restaurants....going to feel like an alien or something! I'm also being horrible at keeping up with everyone. I just don't have the energy for it even though I have nothing to do, haha.

  4. The words, "mostly for lack of anything to say," really resonated with me because, well... it's a situation I never thought I'd find myself in, but here we are. We've been doing and talking about the same things for almost a year now with no reprieve and it's hard to find new ground to tread as time goes on and nothing changes. But even if you don't have anything to say for yourself, I love seeing your outfits, even if they're worn only for photos, because I like to imagine some day we will have places to go and reasons to get dressed again. And when we do, I can't wait to see this gorgeous velvet bomber in action again.
