Eyelash Extensions from Amazing Lash Studio

Thank you Amazing Lash Studio for sponsoring this post!

Ten days ago I went to Amazing Lash Studio in Fairfield, CT for a full set of eyelash extensions. While I'd always thought my natural lashes were pretty good on their own, the moment I got a glance at myself with the extensions, I was stunned at fabulous they looked!

Lash extensions are individually glued on top of the natural lashes, so the process of getting a full set takes about two hours and while it did involve having tape put over my lower lashes and on part of my eyelids, it wasn't really uncomfortable. I just layed down with a knee pillow and a cozy blanket and relaxed. I'm told many people take little 'lash naps', though I knew that was definitely not going to be in the cards for me (I can't fall asleep on eight hour overnight flights) the time passed relatively quickly. And for the results - completely worth it.

As I have very oily skin, I generally don't wear mascara, because even waterproof mascara tends to give me raccoon eyes by the end of the day, so I'm pretty committed to black eyeliner, but with the lash extensions, it's like having the best lash day everyday and I haven't needed the eyeliner or any other eye makeup!

Even in the morning, pre-coffee and bed head, when I catch a glance in the mirror the lashes make me feel so much more together.

The only caveat is that the lashes do fall off, both on their own and with the life cycle of the natural lash it's attached to. I've noticed at least two a day fall out, and I've been following the care instructions carefully. So getting them filled in once a month is essential to maintaining them. While Amazing Lash Studio does offer a monthly membership with discounted pricing, it's still a minimum of $80 factoring in tax and tip, plus their eyewash is highly recommended, as it contains alcohol to keep the lashes free of bacteria.

If I had the means, I'd absolutely go back and keep getting the lashes filled in, and if you have been curious about trying them, go for it, because they really do make you feel amazing!

  1. Love all of the scalloped hems on everything in your outfit! :)

Those eyelash extensions are beautiful on you too. I have a friend who wears them and they are just perfect on her - but I have really sensitive eyes so I think I'd be too uncomfortable with someone poking around on my lashes, haha!

Hope you had a great weekend :)

  2. Wow...they do look amazing. But that is probably more than I'm willing to spend, I must admit.....
My mom used to put on fake lashes herself and they looked awful--you could see the glue and everything. But these look just like your own!!

  3. I have been so tempted by eyelash extensions, but I think yours are the most amazing I've ever seen - you have great lashes already but the extensions are so full! Sadly, despite the incredible temptation of not needing mascara (and of not watching my incredibly straight eyelashes, the only straight hairs I have, wilt immediately after I curl them), I can't justify trying them myself because I do so many things you're not supposed to, like sleeping on my stomach, wearing an eye mask and rubbing my eyes because of allergies, so I'll still to admiring them on others for now ;)

  6. I tried them once and my eyes felt heavy and I ended up removing them before a week had gone by.
I like how they look, they make your eyes look happy, if that makes sense.
Oh and the blush blazer with the mules and scallop detail look splendid.
