You might miss it

The summer weeks are flying by, it's the middle of July, and I feel like I spend so much time worrying that I'm going to miss summer, that I'm missing it.

Last weekend it rained, so that was a wash. I did at least accomplish my pillow project and I'm feeling a bit excited and emboldened by that. I might want to attempt something else - something to wear, naturally. Maybe there will be a spark next time I find myself in the fabric store and I can share the garment I'm dreaming of with you.

  1. Summer is an elusive thing. We had a beautiful spring but since the beginning of July, it has mostly been rainy and cold - I was just lamenting to my best friend that I feel like summer came in April and now spring has arrived. It's hard not to feel like you're missing out when you have so little time to enjoy summer with a busy work schedule and the time you do have isn't summer at all. With that said, it has been perfect culotte weather and I'm taking solace in the fact that I'm getting a lot more wear out of the pair that I have than I expected to. I haven't worn them with nude sandals though I just may have to, I love the combination on you!

  5. You just reminded me that I need to wear my culottes more. I have one pair. One pair and I still struggle with it.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you're gonna sew!

  8. Normally I worry about summer passing me by, too. I am so glad we took our summer vacation earlier this year so I feel like we still have time to enjoy the rest of summer before I start back at work. I love those culottes on you!

I also am waiting for an experienced seamstress to help me create it! Ha! I would love for you to join my On the Edge of the Week Link Up which goes live every Thursday at 5:00 p.m. EST!

  12. I feel you. Sometimes it's too hot for me to enjoy the summer lest it be during the evenings or early mornings. But I am starting to relax, so I suppose that's some sort of accomplishment. :)
