In the Cape

My weekend in Cape Cod was unfortunately rainy and overcast, but we made the best of it. I had a lovely time at my sister-in-law's baby shower, and spent Sunday driving through all the little towns, stopping in gift shops, book shops, and coffee shops. Even though it was not my ideal beach day, I still saw people laying out and swimming!

  1. Love this look! Sometimes I prefer overcast days when I'm sightseeing, because then I don't sweat my clothes off, haha :)

  5. I'm loving this look. That dress is perfect I picked up a similar one at Old Navy and have worn it way too many times but it's so versatile. Don't you hate it when the weather doesn't cooperate. Glad you still had an awesome time.

  11. Oh the stripes and chambray my two loves. They work so well together. I was looking up those shoes since they look so comfortable, but they were a little too rich for my blood. What a fantastic giveaway though!

  19. What a shame not to have beautiful weather in Cape Cod... but at the same time, what lovelier place is there to spend time on a beach on a cloudy, overcast day? None come to my mind, I have to say :) And this dress. I have stripe envy! I've been on the hunt for my perfect striped dress all summer and have yet to find it at a price point that feels reasonable - because I never have a hard time finding things I love in the $500+ price range. Sigh. I'm living my striped dress dreams vicariously through you.

  21. Bummer that the weather did not cooperate with your weekend plans but glad you still made the best of it. When I went home a month ago, it was pouring rain while we were swimming in the hotel's lazy river. The rain was freezing cold but it was kind of fun.

  22. You have definitely nailed down the summer chic look. I do think it's great that people can still enjoy the beach on a cloudy day even if I can't appreciate it!
