The underdog

The Wallis blogger ambassador competition is ending soon, and I'm about 1000 votes behind from winning, so it would take a computer glitch or some kind of miracle to win at this point. Or maybe if everyone of you voted, and each convinced, say ten of your friends to vote...

It's okay; I know I don't have the most followers - but I have the best followers. I've gotten to know so many of you over the years through comments, emails and even in person. You are wonderful, supportive, kind, and helpful and you are all the reason that I continue to blog. Thank you all so much!

Turns out I may have jumped the gun a little with these shorts - but in my defense I was tricked! The thermometer outside my window read 70°! It was a lie. It was 60° at best, and windy. This was too cute to change out of though.

  3. I can't believe there's still snow on the ground here and you're rocking shorts (even if you were a bit chilly)! And you're right, definitely way too cute to change out of.

  4. Quality over quantity. But you know that :)

The weather this weekend, especially yesterday, was so tricky! Definitely was not prepared for the wind yesterday.

Lyddie, I agree, it is about the quality of our readers and I have made the same experience as you. Within a short time I've met the most interesting and gorgeous women like you!

  7. I wish my butt and thighs were skinny enough to be able to wear that pattern of stripes. So freaking jealous. Shorts weather is not my favorite time of the year.

  11. Aw darn it! I tried to vote again, but I guess you can only do it once. :-( I don't have a lot of followers either, but I'm totally fine with it. I'm not really into the numbers game, ya know? I love this nautical look on you though Lydia. The shorts are great! I can't wait until we can wear them everyday without shame or chills!

I'm pretty sure you were one of the first people I met on this world of blogs, and surely one of the nicest and loveliest! <3

  30. Ah ! This weather, I hate the in between season times because you never know how the weather is going to be, for us the morning will be at 40's and then by midday it's up in the 70's. You look cute though and I wouldn't have changed either.

  35. I try to vote everyday, but it has to be at the same time, cos it tells me you have already voted, ahhhhhhhhhh
    then I forget.
    I am off to vote.
I dislike this type of competitions because they will choose the ones contact rather than the best one, like you, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  36. Blogging is a little like high school, I think; if you don't have the most friends, you don't get voted prom queen, but if you have true friends, it doesn't matter. You had my vote for the Wallis contest, and I'll always think you deserved to walk away with the title, but at the end of the day, everyone who visits your space regularly knows just how fabulous you are :) After all, you are rocking shorts while there is snow on the ground, which is no easy feat! Oh, and possibly the best sparkly clutch ever. I seriously want to steal it ;)
