Enablers

Bloggers are enablers.
Whenever we meetup we go shopping, as is our nature. Of course we stick to affordable places like TJMaxx, Target, Marshalls, and secondhand shops like Coco's, but we are a bunch with trouble saying no and a belief that there is no such thing as 'too many'.

Amber escaped before the shopping marathon began, but at Coco's on the Green Meg found a velvet blazer, Christine scored at Kate Spade wallet, Tiffany got a necklace and I was talked into a navy velvet blazer. This will be my third velvet blazer, but the cut is so much more flattering...

Later I goaded Tiffany into adding a new pair of ballett flats to her closet, dispite her protests that she has too many, and I eventually caved to a quilted leather vest, which will at least be a unique member of my vest collection.

  10. When things look cute on other people, you just gotta let them know! A shopping blogging meetup sounds like so much fun, though, and I'm looking forward to seeing that quilted vest of yours!

Also--you haven't gotten your tree up yet? Cookie baking I can understand, but girl, it is December 10. GET THAT TREE UP. ;)

I really like your sequin blaazer. It's sparkly and pretty like you.

  13. Oh i love that last picture AND the blazer you are wearing.
I do think bloggers are enablers and even if not physically present can drive you to wanting something so bad you become an on line hunter :)

  14. I agree with you! I watch out at blogger events because you get so caught up in the fawning over things you leave with stuff you didn't mean to buy :)

  18. So much fun and so enabling, I mean, empowering! Some of my blogger besties even enable from afar. We're like the opposite of online anti-smoking counselors, "should I buy these shoes?" "Yes!" "how 'bout these?" "OMG, you can't live without 'em!" to infinity...lol.

  37. It's probably good that all my girlfriends in the area aren't big shoppers, otherwise I would buy way more than I already do!

All of you look fantastic, but your awesome sequined blazer really steals the show! Can't believe it's from Kohl's!

  40. I meant to comment on this earlier this week, but it's just been that kind of week.

I love that you bought the sequin blazer! I thought it was so cute when it came across my Instagram feed. And I really love seeing it worn in a more casual setting! I think I shy away from buying pieces like that because they feel like I'd just wear them for some formal event, then never again, but it's cool to see that you can make it a little more versatile.
