Glimpse

Saturday was beautiful as promised, my windows down and sunroof open as I drove to Litchfield, letting the warm air blow in and tousle my hair. The center of Litchfield proved to be charming, pink doors and white windows. After the event at Lulu The Face Company, which I'll talk about tomorrow, I cajoled Ilse, one of the other bloggers, to take photos with me. In heavy foot traffic areas dealing with the tripod is a huge challenge, and we had our fair share of photobombs as it was. One of which happened to be a middle-aged man who just straight up came and put his arm around me. People (men) do the strangest things when they see bloggers taking photos.

Peaks of the Week

Happy Friday! This weekend is a busy one for me - breaking my rule of only one plan per weekend - I'm attending an insider event at LuLu The Face Company on Saturday, and then going to brunch at The Place 2 Be on Sunday. But that does mean I'll have stuff to blog next week, yay! Haha.

❀ It's been 10 years since The Office's Dinner Party episode, I enjoyed this look back on it. And while we're on the subject, how do you not love John Krasinski?

❀ New Haven made this list of cities and states which will pay you to live there. It's probably one of the few places where my dream of owning a giant old Victorian home could become a reality, with an equally good chance that it would be squished in-between neighbors, as many homes were built before zoning laws. Though if I could have this house, I wouldn't care. Isn't it completely breathtaking?

Think Spring

I decided to wear my ideal spring outfit, despite it still being cold for it. Yes, it is too much to ask to wear a blazer instead of a winter coat. Funny how when I was just starting to transition into fall, I reached for this particular floral blouse, and it's what came to mind when I wanted to wear something decidedly spring-like.

The perks of lingering winter weather? My favorite seasonal drink at Willoughby's Coffee Shop, the Mexican Spice Mocha remains on the menu, and the hot beverage is just what I needed to keep my hands warm. I've put away my gloves for the year in protest, but it's really a lose-lose situation. There is a promise of 60° on Saturday, but if happens, it will only be a brief reprieve.
