Party's over

Now that the weather suddenly snapped back to reality, it's time for my outerwear to start becoming a more intrinsic part of my outfit photos. Thankfully lots of cozy furry things ended up under my tree this year, so there will be no shortage of fun winter accessories in future outfits.

It's kind of sad, but I don't think I even realized just how much I was loving the fact that it was 55° out until it was gone. Because complaining that it's cold when it's 50° at night and I'm wearing a furry coat but I still have bare legs is completely different than complaining it's cold when it's 30°, having no exposed skin and three layers on.

Holidaze

Having the weekend after Christmas was so relaxing; I loved being able to stay in the holiday bubble, sleeping in and eating my body weight in cookies.

Christmas treated us to some incredibly warm weather, and while it was accompanied by more rain than I would have liked, I couldn't get over the idea that was nearly in summer clothes on December 24th.

Despite all the wonderful gifts I received, I did end up taking advantage of a couple sales - the day before Christmas half off sale at J.Crew made this fringe top impossible to resist, then I treated myself to one boxing day purchase, a scalloped hem blouse at Banana Republic.
