Frenchie

Perhaps 'bichon' would be a better title for this post - less confusing anyway, but 'frenchie' sounded cuter and I suppose I'm really thinking more about myself and how putting on black and white with just a pop of red triggers a thought in my mind that now I'm Parisian.

I'm looking forward to a restful weekend, which is looking like it might be chilly and grey, so all the more reason to stay inside bake something.

Revival

It's been a long time since I've worn this pencil skirt. Last fall/winter I abstained from wearing skirts (and dresses) to work because I didn't feel comfortable at first, and once I was in the denim rut, it was near impossible to break free.

After finally getting out from underneath the endless winter and bare legs became a necessity, I slowly introduced my non-denim workwear to the office. Now that pencil skirts and heels feel more comfortable I've been reviving some old favorites, including this berry colored knit which has not seen the likes of this blog since 2013!

Yoga jeans

If you follow one of my favorite bloggers, Cee at Coco & Vera, than not too long ago you might have seen her styling these comfortable and flattering Yoga jeans. I was so surprised and delighted when she told me that I had actually won her giveaway for a pair of my own!

Getting jeans without being able to try them on is one of my biggest reservations, but the size chart was genuinely true to size and the jeans are tight without being restricting and stretchy, but never lose their stretch.

For their first time out I had to wear a classic striped top and a pair of heels - plus the plaid blanket scarf because I could getaway with it and no coat.
