One more beach weekend

I can't believe Labor Day weekend is already upon us, and I could think of no better way to spend it then at the beach. I still haven't made to Block Island yet this summer, but if I were going and had carte blanche to shop for new designer swimwear, I'd take advantage of Orchid Boutique's amazing farewell to summer sale.  My perfect beach look includes a bold one piece suit by Trina Turk, a pile of gold jewelry, an adorable pink coverup that could easy go out to dinner, and of course a huge Mar y Sol tote to throw it all in.

Trina Turk Zebra One Piece, $103
Gorjana Aria Long Necklace, $52
Made Birds Nest Bangle, $45
Kaanas Marrakech Cabo Flat, 99
Mar y Sol Oversized Tote, $107

Best of all, now through August 29th, you can take an extra 20% off already reduced items with the code LABORDAY20!

Looking forward to it

Swimsuit season is upon us. Well, here in New England it's upon us, in Miami Florida where Orchid Boutique is located, it's already in full swing. Offering a curated collection of designers along with their own Orchid label, there is plenty to choose from. And while all the stores are rolling out this years new styles at full price, you can head over to Orchid Boutique's clearance section and get last year's swimwear for up to 70% off.

Orchid Boutique gave me an opportunity to style up some swimwear, and I decided to go with the black allure monokini. When it comes to swimwear I try to look for styles with a bit more coverage, especially in the bust. This suit, which I ordered in a size large, unfortunately lacks adequate support in that area, and is also a touch too long for my 5'2" frame.

I do love the style though, the cut outs at the side are just enough to give a slimming appearance while still offering ample coverage for my middle. There is also the option to wear it strapless, which is great if you enjoy laying out and getting a little tan.
