More yellow birds

I think this might be my favorite Yellow Week look yet, with it's completely over the top bright cheerfulness, it's hard to worry about the crazy ice storm scheduled for this weekend, the piles of snow, and the bitter cold.

When I mentioned cleaning out my closet I said I got rid of all my cropped cardigans. Well I lied. I had to keep this one. I'm not wearing it the way it was intended to be worn however, which is wrapped.

I've had it for about seven years, but the last time I wore it was December 2009, so I'm wearing to to reset the "Haven't Worn it in a Year" clock. If that makes sense. Although I'm not fond of cropped cardigans, I'm quite partial to these adorable birds and bright colors.

I love that I took this shot right when some snow was falling off a tree branch.

I've discovered that I really like matching my tights to my skirt/dress. Is that something you've ever tried? Am I as cool as I think I am?

  10. You are very, very cool. I would like to match my tights to my dress, but I've only ever done it with black, which I don't think counts. It's hard for me to find tights that fit my 6-foot frame in colors that match my dresses. I love it on you though - I'll just have to try harder.

  14. i love all the beautiful spring colors in this outfit! the yellow dress is super pretty and i will have to try matching tights to my dresses. i think it really elongates your figure and makes you look really svelte. as for the cardigan, the pink color is really fabulous and the embellishments in the front are darling. i'm really glad you kept this cardigan!

Stay warm this weekend! We are buried in about 20 inches of snow over here!

  27. I love the embroideried birds on this cardi! Love the sunny yellow dress too. It's like a ray of sunshine in a snow filled day! Cheesy, but true! You look cute!

  28. I LOVE that cardigan, and the way you've belted it makes it look unique. I have never matched my tights to my dress or skirt...well, besides a LBD and black tights (but that doesn't count). If I decide to do it, I think I will be one walking shade of whatever color I pick out. I don't care if I end up looking like a blueberry!
