Making the most of summer

It's here, June 21st, the first day of summer. As always, I'm afraid it will be gone in the blink of an eye. Normally after July 4th, it doesn't seem like there are any other holidays to look forward to before the always slightly depressing Labor Day, however, if you are willing to seize the wide array of 'novelty' holidays that have cropped up, there is plenty to celebrate.

Today kicks things off with "Wear Your Lily" day, so Lilly Pulitzer fans, and everyone who beat me in line at Target can throw on their favorite bright shift dress and make merry today.

Other great 'holidays' include "Ice Cream Day", "Sister's Day", and "Thrift Store Day". I need every reason to celebrate that I can find, so you'd better believe I'm marking my calendar, and hoping to make this an amazing summer.
