Poppy

So, a few months ago I noticed this sign popped up along the road that heads over a bridge.
It says: Branford River Gateway Scenic Overlook and Recreation Area.

This is a little grassy area with a bench, a mini pier (and I mean mini. It's like 10 feet long) and enough parking for maybe six cars.

I find that sign to be hilarious.

But hey, that sign also totally caught your eye and lured you into its deceit. ;)

Love the pairing of green and red, and your hat is so lovely!

That is funny--I like the "recreation area" part. Well I suppose you're doing some recreational photography... I love this pretty combination with the olive green shirt and red dress!

Hahahahaha that sign sure is an exageration then...lol. You look gooorgeous as always. I really love how the olive green goes with the floral dress. And you always look fantastic in hats!

nice color combo. i normally avoid pairing red & green b/c it reminds me of xmas but the yellow shoes keep this outfit from looking like the holidays. oh, and i love the addition of the hat. really finishes off the look.

That dress is gorgeous and so are you!

What a cute little hideaway! Was it crowded? I would wonder if people who know about the spot cram as many people as possible in their cars to be lucky enough to grab one of the six parking spots.

Lovely dress, hat and photos as usual Lydia!

Even though the actual place is not as what it seemed on the sign, it definitely worked as a backdrop for your outfit posts. What a pretty place (but tiny?). I love the red dress paired with the button down shirt and hat!!

It's a beautiful photo op, even if it is a bit underwhelming. You can't tell it from here :P

Wow to the red flowers and green shirt!

I love this little pier! And this color combination, though I think I've told you that before.

If I come visit sometime you should totally bring me here so we can take in the scenic overlook.

I am completely in love with this color pairing! I feel like I always see lighter greens and pinks paired together in the summer, but the deeper tones of these pieces have me swooning!

Love love love this outfit. The poppies look great with the army green. As for the photo spot, it doesn't look average in the photos and you'd never know the pier was fun sized x
