all of my clothes feel like somebodys old throw aways

It finally happened. Everything I'm wearing (except for the shoes, becuase I don't have any at the moment) is secondhand. And I didn't even plan it, just realized when I started typing the rundown.

Of course I've had the post title picked out for such an occasion for years. It's from that Frou Frou song.

Also, yesterday I bought tickets to the Lucky FABB conference! I'll be in NYC for part of fashion week for the very first time this year! Who else is going?

Congrats on dressing 100% secondhand! You look 100% fresh.

Have fun at the conference. I'm totally jealous!

People that take 100% second handed items and work them like nobody's business (i.e. you) are my idols.

Beautiful skirt - knowing it is all pre-worn and looking fab must make it extra special.

I'm moving to NYC in a couple weeks and am totally freaking out about it. So I guess I'll be there, but not for the reason you were talking about! But have fun.

And ya look great.

Ooh I love Frou Frou. And also your look--what a cute skirt! I'm so jealous that you're going to Lucky FABB. Every year I tell myself I'm going to go to one of those (FABB or IFB or TX Style Conf, or SOMETHING!!) but I suppose the year I change careers and am trying to find a job isn't quite the best one. Oh well. Someday, I'll be there!!

Ha! You know you're a blogger when you've had post titles planned for years, with no post to go with them! (I have tons of them.) That skirt was an excellent thrifting score.

Ok first of all, BIG PROPS for the Frou Frou reference. I LOVE them!!

And hey girl, if somebody's throwaways look so good, what's the problem? :)

Woohoo! All secondhand! There's an awesome thing to have reached. And I would have neeeever guessed they were just people's old hand me downs. ;)

Plus, I approve of the Frou Frou song.

Good job on the outfit! I'm working on getting my closet about 90% thrifted because there are still some things i will need to get from stores. But... I think you've done a great thing! Have fun at your conference.

*standing ovation*

Yay for clothes others don't wear any more! Of course everything looks brand new and way cool on you :)

I like to think of clothes as sometimes taking a little while to get to their forever homes; you know, maybe not getting it right the first time.

Oh man, I've always wanted to do an all secondhand outfit... problem is I don't have enough things! I feel like I've only recently gotten to be a better thrift and consignment store shopper-- getting things that I'll actually wear instead of ones that I like but aren't practical or require too many alterations to work.

Claire said...

love the pattern on that skirt! isn't it great when everything you're wearing is pretty much thrifted?!
