Polka Dotty

For someone who claims they hate how they look in pants, I've certainly been wearing them an awful lot lately. I'm still in my tights rebellion I suppose, and I still haven't unpacked any winter things (including my eight million pairs of tights). I was really beginning to think that I just wouldn't at all, but I am kind of wanting to wear this sweater dress, so maybe I will soon. Maybe in December.

Let us give the coat some attention. I love this coat. I got it on clearance a couple of winters ago for $50. As much as I adore the navy and black brocade on the shell, it was that gorgeous paisley lining with jacquard trim that really had me over the moon. I always just want to walk around with it open, so everyone will be privy to it.

When I shop, I always check out the linings of garments. I think this is one of the best ways to evaulate the qualtiy of a piece, because when corners get cut, lining is the first to go. Well made garments always have beautiful linings.

That's definitely a great coat! And I'm surprised that you dislike pants that much because you look so cute in them, especially those wide leg trousers.

Whoa, you're still holding out on winter? That's pretty amazing. Both the inside and outside of that coat are super fab! And there's nothing like a quality lining. Earlier in the season I saw a J.Crew trench with a tulle skirt lining. So pretty, but sooooo expensive, even for J.Crew.

Wow, you hair has gotten so long- it looks so pretty! I love the lining of your coat =) It's so hard when something has a pretty lining because you want to show it off, but instead it has to stay tucked away so you stay warm!

I agree about checking the lining before buying anything. It's a tell-tale sign of what kind of quality you'll be dealing with if you buy the garment. I love those wide-leg jeans, too!

I love polka dots so much! And everything about this looks great. And interesting thoughts about coat linings. I have a few coats where the lining has torn, and I know they were pretty cheap to buy, so that makes sense.

That coat is a showstopper! I love the lining, too, and I am always checking the insides of purses and jackets to see if there's something unusual or unexpected or thoughtful about the lining. If there is, I'm usually hooked!
Happy Thanksgiving, Lyddie! Hope it's a great day!

For someone that doesn't look good in pants, you look awfully good in pants. I LOVE these bootcut jeans on you :) and that top is so cute! x

you look really good in pants. This jeans fit you so well. The whole outfit is a winner including that wicked cool coat.

I'm in love with your outfit! Every piece is just perfect and the coat? I mean this coat must have been created by Greek gods or something, it's so perfect!

I know what you mean with linings, my heavy winter coat has tiny little flowers inside, and it was one of the reasons why I bought it.

You're right, that jacket deserves a lot of love. Very nice and what a great price.
