Instagiving

The color blocked skirt finally makes an appearance! I don't know what took me so long to wear it, or why I tried three other tops on before I finally settled with the ever versitle leopard button down.

This is what I wore on thanksgiving, even though by the time I ended up getting dressed (after cooking and food prep from 9 am to 2 pm) what I felt like wearing was a pair of leggings and an oversized sweater.

Ah well, leggings and huge sweater, satin skirt and five inch heels - tomato, tomato.*
*It has occoured to me that doesn't really work with out the proper inflection. But how would you write it? Tomato, tomahto?

I mostly documented my thanksgiving with iPhone photos, so if you don't follow me on Instagram, I thought I'd share them!

That's Chloe after getting a bath, because she managed to get her head covered in turkey grease... it was dripping off the table and she was under it licking the floor, for at least 20 minutes before anyone noticed.

ha! Chloe! What a smart pup! I've got an instagram-holiday post planned for this week, too. It's just so convenient to take photos that way, ever since I got my iphone!
I think you chose wisely with this skirt and shirt combo. The animal print looks like it's made for this skirt, and I'm obscenely jealous of the bare leg-weather!

I seriously love this - that skirt and blouse combo is perfection!

The leopard top works well with the colour blocked skirt. And Chloe- what a sweet doggy. Does she have a sweet nature too?

Um yeah, I don't know what took you so long with this skirt either. But of course I already creeped it on Flickr yesterday. Stroke of genius with the leopard top, something I wouldn't have thought of. And wow, what a nice day!

i love that you recognize your skirt as having a color blocked pattern. i feel like so many people just throw on 2 different colors and call it color blocking when that's really not what it means. at least, that's not what it was originally supposed to mean (end rant).

your thanksgiving looks delicious. i hope it was a great day for you! xo.

Nice! I feel like colorblocked pieces are hard to wear for some reason. I like your final choice. I probably would have went for the leggings and huge sweater, though. Tomahto!

I looove the color blocked skirt paired with the leopard blouse. I think it's great that leopard is now almost universally accepted as a neutral. That makes my heart sore!
