Edge of spring

I think these photos were from the last really cold day we had, and I mean so cold that after five minutes outside I was truly regretting the sandals and had to go back for a heavier jacket. This was very confusing as the day before it was just delightfully warm out.

What resulted was this outfit I think would be better suited for the fall - color pallet wise anyway. I'll have to keep it in mind and replicate it when the temperatures are on the decline again in October.

Since last Wednesday

This is the first of my scheduled outfit posts and I've realized in putting these together and writing the copy why most bloggers ask their friends to write guest post while they are away!

Usually in a typical week I'll have all my photos edited over the weekend and arranged in posts. On a good week I'll have all the outfit details and links added, but seldom do I have the copy written up before the night before. Sometimes it's due to writers block, more often procrastination, or just not having anything terribly interesting to say.

So here we go, this is an outfit I wore when it was a bit chillier, of course I love my white on white on white, and I'm very happy with how the grey jeans are working out - they don't lose their stretch at all throughout the day and are pretty comfortable to sit in at work even with the mid rise. If you can snag them on sale, I'd highly recommend.

Things I wanted to buy in May

Not shopping in May proved to be quite the challenge. Shopping has become part of my daily routine, and while I know I've got more clothes than I could ever need, the feeling like I need more never seems to subside (or at least it didn't all month).

I wish I could say that I was feeling pleased with myself for not buying all these items, but truthfully I'd like nothing more than to click "place my order" on all my virtual shopping carts.

Today as you read this I'll likely be waiting in a security check line at the airport, anxious to start my vacation, but still secretly wishing I had a comfortable pair of nude travel shoes, a trendy cold shoulder top, and a new bikini packed in my bag. Alas, I'll have to make due with one of the numerous lace tops, swimsuits, and flats I already own, and I don't know, maybe stick a tassel on something because as evidenced by my selection below, that is all I want right now.

Do pop back while I'm away, I've got several posts scheduled to go up!
