There is always room for another dress. I think that might be my motto. Or that might just apply to everything, as long as I love it and the price is right. Which it was on this little scalloped shift dress I picked up at a sidewalk sale for $10.

Hallmarks of a perfect summer dress: easy to wear, comfortable yet flattering, bright fun color.

Add in my straw tote with the poms that make it look like a hundred bucks, the jeweled sandals that I can't seem to stop wearing, and of course Chloe, who as usual, is more concerned with getting her walk than posing for photos, and you've got my go-to summer look. More of the same tomorrow.

Neon summer

There are still several things I want to do before this summer officially comes to a close. I still haven't had a proper beach day, gone to an amusement park, had a picnic, or gone on a boat. Some of these things are just popping into my head as I write this, now that the last week of August has commenced and the reality that fall will be here before I know it is sinking in.

These photos are representative of crossing a different item off the list, watching the sunset at the beach. While it was not the most spectacular showing, it was peaceful, relaxing, and just what we need sometimes between work and errands (and outfit photos).
