No Repeats Wrap Up

The No Repeats Challenge ended on the 13th, and I've been lazy about doing the wrap up post, so here it finally is.

Got all my shopping done For the birds Don't change my spots This is my christmas cheer In pink Got a lot of colors there. Remembered I think you've got something on your mustache Snake and shine pt 2 Don we now back to my darker hues Christmas Eve Christmas day First Snow no one notices the contrast of white on white Olive eggplant again I insist on making this a four season dress Who designs these things New years eve The new year Winter red meets spring floral The best shade of green Different strokes Hello Wonda sun at my back Snowy scene The only patch of snow left Start to melt Red right ankle yellow The Cape green bombshell blue
I really wanted to use the challenge to force myself to look at some of the items in my closet that I hadn't had on in a while, like the green snake print cardigan and the shattered glass skirt. In the whole month the only "illegal" item I wore three times were my skinny jeans. I got the most use out of my black knee high boots and grey booties. I only wore pants six times. I didn't wear all my black skirts.
I went out to take photos while it was snowing three times.
And in general, was really damn cold.

Today, nothing I'm wearing is a repeat of the past month either. Clearly I am a girl who does not know how to clean out her closet.

Greener scenery

When I first put this outfit on, I thought one thing:
green bombshell

Bombshell.
bombshell
I can't say that's something that often comes to mind, but perhaps it helped that the suggestion was sitting on my dresser.

Needless to say, I love this outfit. I will absolutely wear it again when it gets warmer.

It is starring three new pieces which were Christmas gifts, the cardigan is from DownEast Basics and I love it. The lace panels on the sides are so "Me" and I'm happy that some family members do indeed comprehend my style.

The earrings and top were from different people, but seem to go together perfectly.

look down
Today is green for rainbow tights week, and I wish I had a more vibrant green - these read more as a neutral than a statement. I do really love the olive green with the purple though, it is a combination I've done a number of times.

Today is also the last day in the No Repeats Challenge, I'll have to do a little sum up tomorrow!

These photos were of course taken earlier this week, before the massive snow fall - you can be sure it's all still piled up out there!

Picture me in purple (and a cape)

Snow Day
As predicted, the skies dumped piles of snow over the state of Connecticut and the roads didn't get plowed until mid day, so I stayed home.
Tempting as a day in pajamas always is, I decided to get dressed instead and have an outfit to show you.
Today was supposed to be green in colored tights week, but Iris and I agreed to push it to tomorrow. I wasn't going to ignore a perfectly wonderful pair of purple sweater tights on a day like today though!!

The Cape

It also seemed like the perfect day to show off my vintage cape which was gifted to me by a family member.

I got a little creative and turned my fur collar into a hat.

On days like these I kind of wish I had a photographer. I adore getting wonderful snowy photographs, but the AF gets confused sometimes with all the falling snow - not to mention my poor camera getting wet!

Just in case you were wondering how deep the snow was...

If you had a snow day today, I hope it was a good one! And did you fall victim to any online shopping?
I'm really tempted by this cardigan at Express for $24 ($32 after shipping). Do you think it's a lust, or a must?
